Project Background:

Most of the computations on the current internet are un-trusted due to the lack of policy or schema that ensures the processes of computation are correctly executed because everything is centralized in the web 2.0 age.

TEE is a mature trusted computation environment from Intel, but now widely spread with ARM chipset almost everywhere in sight. With chipsets have TEE, the processes of computation are ensured by the power of the hardware, and the result is not able to be modified by other software which means we can say the whole computation is almost secured and can be trusted.

With the help of Blockchain technology and the widely spread TEE-based chipsets, we can construct the world on trusted computation based on Zero-Hybrid Network.

ZeroHybrid Network

ZeroHybrid Network is committed to building a trusted computing blockchain network that spans multiple architectures. ZeroHybrid Network constructs a trusted computing environment on computing capable entities such as PCs, servers, and mobile devices, and uses substrate to realize a multi-terminal and multi-architecture blockchain network, which combines computing capable devices in all corners of the world to form a global trusted computer.

Consensus Mechanism

ZeroHybrid adopts a consensus mechanism named PoA, which will elect Leader on the network. Election rules are based on the VCU ability offered by a miner, that is, utilizes the verifiability of proof, and are based on valid ALT numbers to confirm Leader. The leader miner will produce the current block.

System Architecture

Within Zero-Hybrid Network, all the completion of each trusted computation task will be recorded and exchanged through the blockchain. The activities of each computing power provider will be recorded on the blockchain, and the computing power will be rewarded with the token mined during the computation.

Components and Workflow

In Zero-Hybrid Network, there are several components, they are UserNode, ChainNode, ProcessEngine, OrderBook, and others.

  • UserNode is equivalent to a light miner, which can only initiate a transaction and submit the Computing Jobs, and inquire about the transaction status.
  • ChainNode handles the transaction requests, and it verifies a trusted execution environment by a random challenge. Also, package transaction is part of its job.
  • ProcessEngine handles task order and triggers Job execution by contributing the corresponding VCU to obtain responsive workload reward.
  • OrderBook is used for storing order and workload proofs.

PoCU(Proof of Virtual-ComputeUnit)

Miner will regularly randomly select a verifier on its working situation to generate an interactive working proof, and submit to the blockchain then store in job assignment data.

Verification Mechanism

Correspond computing scenario to a verifiable outsourcing computing, and use a measurement of the use of resources (VCU) and input and output to data to verify and determine whether outsourcing task is executed, and whether data is falsified.

Resources Allocation Mechanism

It’s a peer-to-peer network, users can submit tasks by nodes installed on mobiles or PCs. Via Book Master accesses VCU assignment information, conducts Task assignment, computes network Node and receives Task and verifies and put in TaskPool, then waits for Runner execution. Via a random selection of Challenger and PoC and PoT proof, Miner guarantees VTEE, and responsible for computing resources. The progress and result of computing are sent by Master and BackupMaster to UserNode submitting task and supervised by job submitter.

Networking

The function of the Super-Node network is a dynamic, distributed data structure continuously available within the scope of the network.
